The pony, Alphie, was one of the first purchases made by the Trust and he was donated to the Riding For The Disabled Association at Harestanes. George had volunteered with this Group for a year as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award and loved it.
The Trust covered the costs of Alphie’s and another pony, Luca’s summer holidays which included 3 months training with local riding instructor, Claire Marshall so that they are primed and ready to look after their new jockeys at the start of the new school term in September.
Additionally, £500 worth of hay was donated by the Trust to the RDA at Harestanes.
