My names Beth Johnston and I’m an s10 para swimmer. I joined Borders Elite Swim Team and Gala swimming club when I was 11. I currently train 16hrs in the pool and 2 in the gym. With most of my mornings starting at 5.07 in the morning to be precise. The highlight of my swimming career so far was selection to team Scotland for the 2018 commonwealth games, Gold Coast Australia. I competed in the 200 individual medley, finishing 9th overall. I’m currently in a transition phase moving from my age group squad(Borders Elite Swim Team ) to senior squad (City of Glasgow Swim). I’ll be moving up to Glasgow on the 8th of September to start a 4 year honours degree course in occupational therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University. I look forward to the new challenges ahead, meeting friends and becoming more independent.
