Hi Mary,

Hope all is well with you, I thought it would be good to send you an update on how my training has been going over lockdown.

What an incredibly odd year it has been since March!

Swimming was going well and I was looking forward to some major competitions including the Paralympic trials. This would have been my first full season with COGST.

Pools where closed & I moved back home for lock down.

Keeping fit with Zoom gym calls & running, not quite the same as jumping in the pool but the slightly later start times were fab!

Keeping focused was difficult but Scottish Swimming were really supportive.

I have been so lucky to be in a small group of swimmers allowed back in the pool.

Unfortunately it require me to travel to Stirling 6 times per week.

I am so very grateful to the Trust as my sponsorship has helped to pay for petrol costs otherwise I may have had to turn down the offer or only been able to accept reduced sessions.

I’m looking forward to moving back up to Glasgow in September and am keeping my fingers crossed that all will be well and Tollcross swimming pool will open again very soon.

Thanks again

Beth
