A week prior to our arrival at Harper Adams at the completion of our charity bike ride from Melrose to the University, a fundraising event was organised and co-ordinated by Rosy Louis who is the Warden of Bradford Halls where George spent his first days of university life. Friends he had made, and others gathered at the Student Union Bar and managed to raise £600 during the evening’s entertainment.

When we arrived at the Student Union Bar, exhausted on 5th June 2019, the students that had been involved in the challenge were there to great us. They also generously laid on food and drink and several purchases of the purple George polo shirts and caps were made.

Thank you very much for helping us especially at an emotional peddling journeys’ end, it was hugely appreciated.
